HTC Flyer Announced – A 7 Inch 1.5 GHz Tablet; No Honeycomb [MWC]
HTC’s just announced the HTC Flyer at their press event here in Barcelona. Due to limited space we weren’t able to get in on the unveiling ourselves, but we hear it has a 1.5 GHz processor, is 7 inches large, and runs Android 2.4 – no Honeycomb here, guys.
A new tablet version of Sense dons this thing, and from the images we’ve seen so far, it doesn’t look too bad. More specs include 1GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, 1280×600 resolution, and comes with a capacitive stylus. In short, this thing has just about everything.
It has a 5 megapixel camera on the back and a front-facing VGA camera on the front, a 4,000 mAh battery, and an aluminum unibody casing. We’ll be on the show floor looking for this thing and we can’t wait to get our hands on it so we can deliver some good, tablet-y video to you. The device will be shipping Q2 of this year.
