Research in Motion released the applications ‘Twitter for BlackBerry’ public beta version. BlackBerry users worldwide can also download and try it. This application has been available in limited real as the previews since last February. But now, has been released in versions which have included several new features based on feedback from users during the preview then.

Here are some features in the application leaks ‘Twitter for BlackBerry’:

Notifications for Direct Push Messages
Twitter direct messages to the user provided a BlackBerry application via the BlackBerry push technology. When Direct Message is received, the user will receive notification as icons on the display screen

Supported Timeline
Users can know the timeline of users who do Following, Tweet’s posts and replies to the user.

Following & Followers
Users can find other Twitter users Following whom and anyone who had their Following.

Tweeting and Re-Tweeting
Users are able to post new tweets, tweets delete, re-Tweet (forward), reply to tweets (@ Replies), and send direct messages. Users can make choice to Facebook Email Tweet, PIN, SMS, MMS and BlackBerry Messenger.

Keyword, User, and Proximity Search
Keyword Search: search for keywords from within the application, the search results will be displayed as a Timeline.
User Search: looking for other Twitter users from within the application.
Proximity Search: Find tweets in the selected location.

Tweet Photos
Users can post photos from within the application, camera phones, BlackBerry, or from the media card as part of a new Tweet. Users also can view the photos displayed.

Trending Topics
Users can see the top 10 list of topics that are trending on Twitter, and they can click on that topic to see the timeline.

Profile Editing
Users can edit their own profile or change their profile picture from the application

Seamless integration to BlackBerry applications
This application is fully integrated into Media, a browser, the BlackBerry App World, and URL Shortening the list of messages. Users can send messages directly from web sites that use the URL from the browser (support bit.Ly support)

Users can download applications from the BlackBerry App World or by visiting mobile.blackberry.com from a BlackBerry smartphone.

Only, ‘Twitter for BlackBerry’ available for BlackBerry OS version 4.5 or higher with at least a 64-MB built-in memory (minimum available 750KB)
